Cellar 152 - Elk Rapids, Michigan

A once tired photography studio and secondhand store was transformed to Cellar 152, a wine and gourmet market.  The buildings history dates to 1900 when the Mitchell Brothers set out to bring a state-of-the-art building, including the first indoor bathtub to Elk Rapids, Michigan.  Our renovation started September 2014 and would finish in just enough time to catch a piece of summer opening August 2, 2015.  The 3,000 sq ft above the Cellar became two condos which started as 5 apartments.  We preserved much of the old charm simply by exposing the brick and refinishing (while harvesting floors from the kitchen downstairs) the original wood floors.  All the modern conveniences with the original rich history were a hit and the condos sold before the paint dried.
